The Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club invites you to reflect on the memories of 2018 with an elegant New Year’s Eve dinner by executive chef Jason Cunningham in the Fairview Dining Room. An exquisite four-course meal complemented by balloons, top hats, tiaras, candlelight, and piano tunes awaits! $75 per person; children's menu available.
Reservations are required but dress is casual at this family-friendly dinner.
Celebrate with a five-course Omakase meal in Dashi’s upstairs izakaya. This type of meal entrusts your order to the chef – it's essentially a chef’s tasting menu, and Chef Billy Cotter will send out the freshest and most delicious dishes of the day (squid ink, fish, truffles, videri chocolate are included)! Make your reservations in advance; the meal is $55 per person, or $85 with drink pairings.
Parizade invites you to an elegant New Year’s Eve celebration. The evening will begin with early a la carte seatings, with celebration seating taking place between 9:15pm and 9:45pm, to include a decadent 4-course prix-fixe menu with champagne toast for $90 per guest. Dom Perignon is available by the glass all night long to send 2018 off in style and start 2019 off right!
Ring in the New Year in Style
New Year’s Eve is cause for celebration around the Bull City, and there are plenty of events to welcome the new year. Cut up the dance floor at Dance Blues Friday, belt out your favorite new year's tunes at West 94th St. Pub Karaoke, don your best dress for a performance of The Nutcracker at DPAC, or enjoy dinner, drinks, and dancing the New Year’s Eve Gala hosted by the Beta Theta Lamda Education Foundation at the Hilton Durham.

Party in the heart of Downtown Durham while ringing in the new year at Beyù Caffè's What The Funk New Year's Eve event. Featuring the Tre King Band, Beyù will also offer a buffet and champagne.
Lucky us! The Durham hotel is offering two options to ring in 2019. The Durham’s kitchen, headed by the Triangle’s first James Beard Award Winner Andrea Reusing, will be serving a four-course dinner featuring black truffles, caviar and Red Poll beef. On The Durham’s breathtaking rooftop bar, oysters and shrimp cocktails will be served alongside some bubbly to welcome the new year. Tickets are $75 per person.
Get down on the last night of 2018 at Motorco’s 8th annual New Year’s Eve Celebration. They'll have Rose Kennedy performing the hit songs you had on your Zune (live!), a New Year's Eve countdown, a champagne toast and surprises!
Get freaky at Arcana’s New Year's Eve w/ The Lynn Grisset Jazz Trio. They'll have drink specials available all night, as well as Blanc du Blu Cava. Jameela Dallis will be there to read tarot cards, and doors open at 7pm. Music starts at 10pm and goes into the new year! Enjoy Lynn Grissett on trumpet and saxophone, Devin Fuller on drums, and Kevin Beardsley on bass. Entry is $10 at the door, or get tickets here.
Make the most out of the last hours of 2018 and the first few hours of 2019 at Ponysaurus Brewing Co. Dance to great tunes with Carolina Soul and enjoy midnight sparklers and a keg drop. Plus, your chance to enter your name at the party and win a free year of beer is back. The winner will be announced at midnight. Get Out and About on New Year’s Day
Celebrate the seventh day of Kwanzaa at the African American Dance Ensemble’s free annual festival. There will be dancing, music, arts and crafts, free health screenings, and a marketplace. Ring in 2017 with a relaxing guided hike at Eno River State Park. There will be a 4-5 mile hike and a shorter 2-mile route. Enjoy free refreshments like popcorn, hot cocoa, and marshmallows at the end of the trail.
