Lunch buffet is amazing. My favorite Indian food in all of Durham, and better than the places I've been to in Atlanta, Charlotte, and Winston-Salem! Props to the server who remembered that I love red onion chutney and brought it to me without me asking. So happy! -
Naan Stop is an absolute gem! Every visit is a flawless experience, exceptional food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. The lamb tikka masala and garlic naan are simply irresistible; no matter how much I want to explore the menu, I can never pass up the chance to satisfy my craving. The flavors are bold, authentic, and consistently 10/10 every time.
Beyond the incredible food, the service is just as remarkable. The staff is polite, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, making every meal even more enjoyable. The warm and inviting atmosphere completes the experience, making Naan Stop my go-to spot whenever I’m in Durham. I just can’t pass it up lol
I’ve had my fair share of Indian cuisine, but nothing compares to this place. Highly recommend! -
This is the best Indian food we've found in Durham. The taste is phenomenal, the service is stellar, and the price is comparable to other places that are far less delicious. Don't go anywhere else if you're looking for truly great Indian food in the triangle. -
Very calming atmosphere. Bryan was very attentive while also giving me space to enjoy my meal. The chicken tikka masala and garlic naan were super yummy! I recommend. -
I ordered from Naan Stop through DoorDash, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I don’t mind paying higher prices for good Indian food, especially when ordering through a delivery service, but I do expect the quality and portions to match the price. That simply wasn’t the case.
Both of the entrees I ordered were overwhelmingly filled with sauce while containing very little protein. I found myself digging through the containers hoping to find more meat, but there were only a handful of small pieces in each dish. It felt like I paid premium entrée prices for what was essentially containers of curry sauce with minimal protein.
The flavors themselves were decent, but flavor alone doesn’t justify the cost. A quality Indian entrée should have a reasonable balance of sauce, protein, and overall portion size. Instead, the excessive amount of sauce made it seem like the restaurant was cutting corners on the most expensive ingredient. It was frustrating because the meals looked full at first glance, but once you realized how little protein was actually included, it became clear that the portions were not representative of the price.
I understand that ordering through DoorDash comes with additional fees, but those fees don’t explain why the actual entrées contained so little protein. This issue has nothing to do with DoorDash, it was the food itself. When you’re paying over $20 per entrée, you expect a satisfying meal that provides good value. Unfortunately, these meals did not.
Based on this experience, I don’t feel that Naan Stop offers good value for the money. If you’re looking for generous portions with a fair amount of protein, you may want to consider other Indian restaurants. I won’t be ordering from Naan Stop again unless they improve the consistency and portion sizes of their entrées.
